What to expect on your first visit

Welcome! Here’s what you can expect during the first few visits at our office. You could also call this heading "Our philosophy" or "Our vision." This is the place to talk about what drives you and your business and what's unique about your process. What you write here should be something distinct and interesting about your business that sets it apart from others in the same industry.

1. Paperwork

You will be asked to complete simple admitting patient forms so we can gain an understanding of your past and current health situations. Please download and complete the forms before your first visit. All forms must be filled out with honesty and completed with signatures where appropriate. Our staff will always assist you in a way that’s needed. They are here to make your visit welcoming too.

2. Consultation

This is the time to meet the doctor and discuss your current health concerns. You also get the opportunity to learn about the chiropractic approach to solving your concern. Not every patient that comes in is a great chiropractic candidate, these consultations give us the ability to make that decision or refer you on to the appropriate practitioner who will be best able to meet your needs.

3. Examination

We’ll conduct a thorough chiropractic examination to locate a basic underlying cause of your health concern. Chiropractors are concerned with nerve irritation and spinal integrity. Some of our exam procedures are not like any other health care providers; don’t be alarmed, be encouraged that we are looking for something outside common thinking.

4. Heat Reading

This is the latest in technology that we can offer. It’s an immediate way to determine the presence of nerve pressure. When nerves are irritated, the skin temperature along the spine will be affected. This instrument can detect where that skin temperature is being irritated by comparing one side of the spine to the other.

5. X-Rays

Pictures of the spine are necessary to determine four essential facts: Alignment of the spine, bio-mechanics, overall tone or integrity of the spine, i.e. arthritis, osteoporosis and most importantly, is there a reason we cannot accept your case because it is outside the scope of our practice.

6. Adjustment

This is a “thrustic” procedure to the spine, designed to correct the basic underlying cause of your problem. This may or may not take place on the first visit depending on what the doctor decides.

7. Financial Review and Scheduling

Our office staff will recap the days procedures and accompanying fees, understand your responsibility and take care of it with them. They will reschedule you for your next visit which will be a report of the doctor’s findings. At this time the doctor will review what is the best approach to solving your problem, your options and how long it will take.
